For Immediate Release:

HARRISBURG, PA October 17th, 2022 – D&H Distributing, a major provider of SMB, mid-market, and consumer technologies to the North American channel, is happy to announce it will conduct its first West Coast THREAD technology conference since the 2019 shut-downs on October 19 at the Hilton Anaheim hotel in Anaheim, CA.

Programs will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome and company update from D&H's Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales Peter DiMarco, emceed by customer experience expert and entrepreneur Jay Baer. The first session will be a live partner panel presenting real-world feedback, which evaluates how D&H has succeeded a year after implementing its "Built for Growth" (BFG) initiatives. The panel will include an assessment of D&H's latest investments and resources. D&H executives will review input from the panelists on the company's 2023 goals and strategies for developing channel partner growth, such as platform enhancements, ongoing credit offerings, new training, professional services, and the just-launched TechDrive Creative Studios marketing service.

The program will continue with THREADtalk presentations from Microsoft and AMD on the advancement of the PC market. The Mainstage Keynote speaker of the day is Phil Soper, North America Head of Partner Sales at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Soper will discuss how HPE accelerates the evolution of business across the partner ecosystem with its edge-to-cloud strategy and the HPE GreenLake cloud services platform.

Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Multiple concurrent seminars will continue until 4:00 p.m., offering additional insights from vendors such as Eaton, HP, Intel, and channel partner Joy Systems. Topics include D&H's Modern Solutions strategy, Microsoft Windows in education, Device-as-a-Service, sustainability, security, refurbishing programs, and the ramifications of the recent Eaton/Tripp Lite acquisition. The vendor exhibit floor opens at 4:00 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m., spotlighting the latest technology from more than 55 participating manufacturers. D&H expects representatives from 250+ channel partners to attend.

There is no registration fee for the conference; the event is a value-added offering to support D&H partners, providing engaging educational sessions, interactive solution experiences, and one-on-one networking opportunities to help their businesses thrive and grow. Partners will be able to explore the latest strategies from D&H's Modern Solutions business unit, which covers modern applications, collaboration, infrastructure, and security; along with emerging technologies in still-growing areas like ProAV, remote networking, and esports.

"THREADtech" and "THREADbyte" trainings are aimed at technical engineers, in addition to more general opportunity-focused discussions with industry and solution-specific experts. Attendees can also visit dedicated Solution Zones ranging from Modern Solutions and ProAV, to Networking, Connectivity, and—always an attendee favorite—an immersive esports gaming station.

An Exclusive West Coast Partnerfi Symposium

The THREAD event will incorporate a three-day Partnerfi Fall Symposium, delivered exclusively for members of its new Partnerfi community, D&H's select partner engagement group. In addition to interaction with D&H Co-President Michael Schwab, members will be treated to an additional agenda of manufacturer content and subject matter experts, and networking with both D&H executives, peers, and vendor representatives.

The D&H Partnerfi Community Symposium began on October 17 and extends through the 19th, running concurrently with the THREAD conference on its last day. The Symposium focuses on business planning for IT channel companies, featuring a Lunch Keynote presentation from the Disney Institute on "Quality Service," a presentation from Connectwise's Vice President of Ecosystem Evangelism Arlin Sorensen, and more.

D&H's Parnterfi group is strictly focused on building member value, as opposed to many competing programs that place their emphasis on vendor benefits. D&H's strategy empowers members to grow their VAR and MSP practices, with a focus on D&H reinvesting in their businesses. Partnerfi members are privy to exclusive benefits such as SuccessPath Premium training and resources, leadership development content, marketing support from D&H's new TechDrive Creative Studios, and special limited-time-only funding opportunities.

The 10/19 THREAD content will explore issues including:

  • A new, eco-friendly way to buy PCs through D&H with Joy Systems, a pioneer and market leader in refurbished computers.
  • New form factors and system designs in hardware and software courtesy of AMD's latest partnerships.
  • Exclusive insights on Eaton's recent acquisition of Tripp Lite and their plans for their collective partner community.
  • D&H's growing components offerings through a new Components Track.

"D&H has assembled an impressive line-up of industry pioneers together under one roof, with the latest trends for our reimagined, constantly evolving marketplace. The objective is to bring unique and profitable opportunities to our channel partners. Our conference forum continues to improve and expand in pursuing that through top-flight exhibits, trainings, and peer networking," said Jennifer Walcott, vice president of marketing at D&H Distributing. "D&H is always proactive in delivering best practices, market intelligence, and new resources, direct from our subject matter experts and the manufacturers themselves. The relationships that are forged at our live tech events are invaluable, so we're thrilled to bring a live THREAD offering back to the West Coast."
